i walk alone on an old dirt road
as the dust clouds rise around my feet
i've been told by the not so bold
that i will never find what i seek
i happen upon a house withdrawn
from the road that i've been traveling
i waltz across the lawn like a white tailed fawn
not aware where it's going or where it's been
but i cast away the fear of not knowing
my feet guide me slowly in
once inside, i close my eyes
my senses met with familiarity
opened my eyes and to my surprise
a forest had grown around me
through the misty air floated a big brown bear
reaching down to take me off my feet
i screamed but no one could hear me
but the creatures in their trees
i don't wanna die, just wanna find what's behind
when words escape from the place they reside
the bear asked me "so, what do you need to know?"
i asked him "am i enough?"
in a low voice he sings "the mind is everything,
what you think you will become"
and he laid me on a bed of flowers
and i drifted off to wake
i don't wanna die, just wanna find what's behind
when words escape from the place they reside
i don't wanna die, just wanna find what's behind
when thoughts escape from the place they reside
